Strawberry Pie Ice Cream Waffle Sundae / Sandwiches

In search of a special occasion summer breakfast? You’ve found it here! Waffles with a pops of iconic Parle G tea biscuits, combined with our summer Strawberry Pie ice cream, this breakfast is indulgent, satisfying and unequivocally delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups buttermilk

  • 3 tbsp. Melted butter, + 2 tbsp. more for brushing waffle iron 

  • 1 tsp. Vanilla bean paste

  • 2 cups all purpose flour 

  • 1 tsp. Baking powder 

  • 3 tbsp. Sugar 

Whisk together buttermilk, 3 tbsp. Melted butter, vanilla bean paste and sugar. In a separate bowl, sift together flour and baking powder. Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Add hot water and whisk until a cohesive batter has formed. Fold in crushed Parle G biscuits.

Let batter rest while warming up the waffle iron. When heated, brush the surface with melted butter. Using your waffle iron instructions, scoop in batter, close the waffle maker and allow to cook. Continue with remaining batter.

Allow the waffles cool slightly until almost room temp (to not melt the ice cream), and add a scoop of Malai Strawberry Pie ice cream. Top with second waffle, and enjoy!
